Corksport 2006-2007 Mazdaspeed 6 51r Battery Tray

We’re happy to introduce the 51R Battery Tray for Mazdaspeed 6! Once you begin shooting for higher power levels, the OEM intake size soon becomes a restriction. Unfortunately, installing a larger intake will put your turbo inlet pipe in contact with your OEM battery tray. Enter the CorkSport 51R battery tray! The CS battery tray allows for 4” intake fitments and a 51R size battery with no hole drilling or vehicle modification. It’s an easy ~30-minute install that ensures your intake fits perfectly and your engine bay looks great! Read on for full details and more images.

Fitment Focused:

The number one priority of the CorkSport 51R Battery Tray is fitment. It fits beautifully with all sorts of different intakes and FMIC piping setups. From OEM to 4”, you can be sure your turbo inlet pipe has plenty of clearance. Any standard 51R battery fits perfectly, with the box designed to meet the 51R sizing standard with just enough wiggle room for different battery height variances. Plus, we moved it as far as we could toward the shock tower for much easier access to turbo and other engine components!

Enthusiast Designed:

The usability of the CS 51R Battery Tray was also a primary focus during development. The battery tray uses three mounting locations instead of the two stock locations to ensure a nice & stable battery placement. We did away with the annoying “J” hook style tie-down mounts and rotated the tie-downs 90°. These changes provide a ton of clearance on the left side of the battery tray and ease of use for frequent installation/removal for modding your Mazda.

Optimized Material:

We produced the CS MS6 Battery Tray from laser-cut 5052 aluminum and precision formed it for quality. The main tray is 1/8” thick for the right balance of strength and weight, while the tie-down is 1/4” thick for better resistance and durability against bending. The spacers are left in raw aluminum to provide a nice contrast to the anodized black main tray and battery tie-down. The unfinished aluminum is only visible during installation and provides a worry-free look when showing off your engine. The black anodization finish combined with the laser-etched CorkSport logo on the tie-down offers a clean look that fits with any engine bay.

Hardware and Accessories:

All hardware required for installation is included along with full-color installation instructions. All bolts and the rivet nuts for holding the tie down are made from stainless steel for a great-looking, long-lasting, and corrosion-resistant connection.
