The ALTA Intake Tube, connects the air box to the throttle body with a mirror smooth silicone hose promoting a high velocity air charge. Unlike the corrugated and ribbed factory inlet hose, turbulence is eliminated and air flow velocity is increased as the ALTA Intake Tube has a larger inside diameter.

MCS INLET HOSE TEST

This test was done on a GP Mini, which makes similar horsepower to the JCW Mini. In this test, we left the JCW factory installed intake, in the car, and only replaced the inlet hose. This part alone makes 4WHP and makes for a nice clean install in your engine bay. Keep in mind you can always add the ALTA intake later and get the full 10WHP gained from both being installed.
