Precision Fitment:

The CorkSport Skidtray was CAD designed to directly bolt into the OEM locations with no need for drilling, trimming, or struggling with installation. We specifically designed it for the KF CX5, keeping the OEM two-piece design and an easy access panel for oil changes. There is even some adjustability to the skid plate, to account for any small variations in the OEM plastic bumpers!

The OEM splash shield works well until you start doing more with your CX-5 than running to the grocery store. The CS skid plate will offer better protection without the fear of plastic cracking with the slightest hit. Whether you plan on taking your CX5 camping on rocky forest roads, driving through snow and ice, or taking your lowered CX-5 to a show, the CorkSport Skid Plate will be protecting your engine and other under hood components.

Materials & Manufacturing:

The CorkSport Aluminum Skid Tray is laser cut from 11 gauge (0.09”) aluminum and then precision formed for an easy install on your CX-5. Aluminum offers protection from rocks and road debris while minimizing added weight. While it seems thin, we have seen these skid plates take an impressive beating over the years on the Mazda 3! All hardware is included for installation, using stainless steel button head bolts to prevent corrosion and potential snags. We also use Torx screws on the oil access cover to ensure the screws heads will not strip after repeated oil changes!

ADVISORY

Has not been test fit with aftermarket bumpers or front lips. Modification may be required for fitment.
