GKTECH S13/180SX REAR TRACTION ARM WELD IN REINFORCEMENT PLATES

The GKTech weld in traction arm plates have been designed to help brace the OEM traction arms. As the value of these vehicles increases we've seen the need to refurbish and improve some of the OEM parts rather than completly replace.

Nissan obviously felt it was a good idea to reinforce the traction arms as they did update the traction arms with plates (similar to these) in the later model S-chassis'.

What's the advantage of using the GKTech weld reinforcement plates?

The Nissan S chassis and Skylines weren't built tough. It's that simple. In this case the rear traction arms are quite flimsy and do move under loads. After the S13/R32 era Nissan did reinforce the traction arms as they obviously felt the need. Hence we've made these weld in kits here for those looking to refurbish their OEM suspension arms.

What modifications are required, is this hard to fit?

No modifications are required, simply just remove the traction arm and weld the plates in.

Is there anything else needed for installation?

You will need a welder, but in terms of the plates they will arrive as shown in the product photo.

Can I install this myself? If so how long will installation take?

Yes, provided you have welding experience. Welding in of the kit should take around 15 minutes.
