This Audi S5 performance exhausts is made in 2.5"/63.5mm pipework and fits from the centre section backwards replacing the rear boxes.

COBRA SPORT REVIEW

Keen to build upon the success of their existing cat back exhaust systems for the Audi S5, Cobra Sport were keen to offer a dual rear box exhaust system which will fit both the coupe and cabriolet models. The new system improves the exhaust tone through subtly changes to the pitch and tone whilst upgrading the styling featuring quad exhaust tips which fit perfectly with the S5 rear diffuser.

Due to the additional strengthening on the cabriolet chassis, the Cobra Sport cat back exhaust systems are only available for the S5 coupe. Keen to offer a system for all Audi S5 models, the Cobra Sport research and development team have created a system that replaces only the rear section of the exhaust manufactured in mandrel bent 2.5” (63.5mm) pipework. Matched with twin rear boxes, the Cobra Sport system fit directly to the existing pipework and is finished with a choice of highly polished 3.5” tailpipes.

Cobra Sport were keen to make the most of the beautiful tone produced by the 3.0 TFSI engine. The completed Cobra Sport system, although minimal in size produces a beautifully improved exhaust tone with a slightly deeper pitch. During the 4,000 rpm static sound test the replacement rear section increased sound levels by +4.6db to record 75.5db on the sound meter. This subtle upgrade is further demonstrated by a similar +4.5db increase in sound levels when idle. The Cobra Sport systems also offer an impressive 1.66kg weight saving over the standard system weighing in at only 12.34kg. The styling of the system is finished off with a choice of subtle twin 3.5” (88.9mm) slash-cut tailpipes both finished in highly polished T304 stainless steel.
