These Audi S5 performance exhausts are made in 2.5"/63.5mm pipework and fit from the catalytic converter section backwards (Cat-back) these exhausts replace the centre and rear sections.

This non-resonated exhaust makes the system louder as it excludes the centre silencer and therefore, has a sportier exhaust note. This exhaust however, is also available as a resonated version (including centre silencer) which is a quieter option.

All relevant fittings and gaskets are supplied.

COBRA SPORT REVIEW

Fitted with Cobra Sports specialist exhaust technology, the new exhaust systems for the S5 give substantial increases in power and torque from the V6 3.0 TFSI engine. Cobra Sport’s Sales Manager, Matt Thomas, Sales Manager at Cobra Sport says “We are impressed with the results which we have achieved on the Audi S5, but for me, the real improvement lies is the enhanced engine tone which the exhaust provides. After testing the car both with the OE system and a range of our upgrades, I feel that the Cobra Sport system delivers a smoother more responsive drive and gives the car more of a performance edge with a sound track to match.

The unbelievable sound quality is pitch perfect for this engine and when under full load the exhaust system really comes to life with an aggressive tone. Under part throttle or idle the volume is both subtle, and sporty, therefore is also suited to daily driving. Great sound comes as standard with Cobra Sport! This is backed up by our sound testing where the Cobra Sport systems were quieter at idle (-1db) but during the stationary test at 4,000 rpm the volume of the non resonated cat back system increased by +15.7db to 67.2db.

The bore size of the mandrel bent T304 stainless steel pipework has been increased by 0.25” to 2.5” (63.5mm) to allow for smoother gas flow. Matched with the upgraded resonators and rear box, the Cobra Sport cat back system weighs in at 32.14kg. Power testing of the completed Cobra Sport cat back system on the rolling road revealed an impressive +7.3bhp increase in power along with an 8.2 lb-ft increase in torque.

The systems come with Cobra Sport’s own unique quad tailpipe selection all designed to fit neatly within the S5’s showcase rear diffuser. Tailpipes choices consist of a 3.5” twin slash cut & angled or a 3.5” twin inverted slash cut & angled version.
