Want to install an aftermarket coolant temp sensor but don't want to cut into your radiator hose? Me either! Instead of doing that simply unbolt your factory coolant neck and install this spacer in between the neck and the head. The spacer has the provision for a 1/8 NPT provision or alternatively if used in conjunction with a barbed fitting this spacer could be used as the source for a coolant breather tank.

What's the advantage of using the GKTech coolant neck spacer?

Typically to gain a coolant temperature reading you would need to cut the OEM radiator hose. In this case, our plate sandwiches up against the head so it is much safer than a cut in between a flexible hose which is then sealed with clamps. This is also a good spot to use for a swirl pot setup or additional bleeder line.

What modifications are required, is this hard to fit?

No modifications are required, simply just remove and refit.

Is there anything else needed for installation?

We do recommend a small amount of sealant on either side to avoid a coolant leak. In terms of the spacer it will arrive as shown in the product photo.

Can I install this myself? If so how long will installation take?

Yes, it is straightforward. Install time should be around 15 minutes, you will also need to bleed your cooling system after this has been fitted.
