The GKTECH Z33 350Z/Z34 Magnetic gearbox drain plug is a direct replacement of the OEM drain plug.

Have you ever miss shifted, crunched a gear or hear a funny noise from the gearbox and looked at the passenger with concern like 'I hope I didn't break anything'

This little magnetic drain plug will cling to the thing that broke on that miss shift and hand it to you at every service, like show and tell... but the drain plug can't speak.

It makes sense to have it there as the OEM plug is not magnetic and will not bring anything to show and tell.

What's the advantage of using the GKTech Magentic drain plug?

Well, if you have run through the gears vigorously one evening or even given a nice a subtle clutch kick from time to time, you would know this plays its part of overall wear on the gearbox. For any internal wear that may occur over the years this little magnetic plug catches it all, its like Alexa, but useful and doesn't use it against you.

What modifications are required, is this hard to fit?

No modifications are required just simply remove the OEM drain plug and fit the this one in its place.

Can I install this myself? If so how long will installation take?

Yes, it is relatively straightforward. Installation should take around 15 minutes on a hoist.
