The Nissan X-Trail T31 (2007-2013) was one of the most popular compact off-roaders of its time and there are many of them out there on the roads. However, like most vehicles in this class, they work their suspension hard and, in particular, the vertical pivot bushes on the front lower control arms (AKA wishbones) is a very common failure point. Once that bush fails, it transfers all the suspension load into the locator bush - which it's not designed to handle. Once the locator bush fails, it's extremely difficult to replace due to its location in the arm - the only real solution is to throw the arms away.

This means that the best option is to replace the whole arm assemblies. You could replace like-for-like with OE replacements but the same problem will reoccur in the near future. SuperPro offer a complete solution to this problem and they are OE-spec arms with SuperPro's much-improved bushes already fitted. The part number for these arms is TRC1031. The kit includes both left and right-hand lower arms, SuperPro vertical pivoting bushes (already fitted), locator bushes and uprated balljoints.

Replacing the rear position O.E voided rubber vertical bush with the unique SuperPro bush vastly improves the handling, braking, dynamic wheel alignment and tyre life.

This makes these arm kits by far the best choice for the repair or upgrade. What's more, SuperPro bushes don't increase noise, vibration and harshness like other polyurethane brands do so you don't need to worry about compromising on ride quality.
