Then Pedders Suspension have the solutions for you.

The standard X-Class, as supplied, sits level when unladen, unlike most pick-ups which sit “nose down”. Combined with relatively soft suspension, carrying a meaningful load results in a very “tail down” stance, which as well as looking as though overloaded, also upsets the balance of the vehicle.

Pedders recognise this and have produced a range of load carrying kits to suit all uses from occasional load carrying to permanently heavily laden. Below is a list of the kits and the purpose they are best suited to. 803262. Pedders Heavy Duty Load Carrying & Towing Kit.

This kit uses an uprated rear spring, progressively wound to retain ride comfort, and approx. 30-35mm higher than standard. This kit is ideal for vehicles which are operated both unladen and moderately laden, without a canopy and tow bar. Ride comfort remains good in the unladen condition.

803277. Pedders Extra Heavy Duty Load Carrying & Towing Kit

Very similar to the kit above, but uses a slightly stronger rear spring and is better suited to vehicles which are operated both unladen and moderately laden WITH a canopy and tow bar. Ride comfort remains good in the unladen condition.

803283. Pedders Super Heavy Duty Load Carrying & Towing Kit

This kit is specifically designed for vehicles that are permanently laden. Pedders recommend a minimum of at least 300KG in the vehicle at all times. Operation in the unladen condition will result in a ride firmer than is desirable.

803263. Pedders Heavy Duty Variable Load Suspension Kit.

This kit utilises an airbag kit and a pair of shocks. It retains the standard rear springs so both height and ride comfort are unaffected when operated in the unladen condition. When load is carried, the bags can be inflated using an airline (the same as used to inflate your tyres). This kit is suited to those who only occasionally carry load, but significant weight when doing so, but mostly run unladen.

803265. Pedders Extra Heavy Duty Variable Load Suspension Kit.

This kit utilises an airbag kit & uprated rear springs as well as a pair of shocks. This kit uses an uprated rear spring, progressively wound to retain ride comfort, and approx. 30-35mm higher than standard. Ride comfort remains good in the unladen condition. The addition of an airbag kit means that, when heavy loads are carried, the bags can be inflated using an airline (the same as used to inflate your tyres). This kit is suited to those who operate their vehicle at opposite extremes, i.e., completely unladen, and very heavily loaded.

These components replace the original items. No other modifications to the vehicle are necessary.
