GKTech Gearbox Shifter Return Spring Kit for Toyota GT86 / GR86 / Subaru BRZ - GT86-SPNG

The GKTECH 6 speed manual gearbox spring kit will bring your gear stick back to life by stiffening up the shifter and increasing overall shifter feel. To install simply remove the 2 bolts from the side of the transmission under the shifter assembly and install with the new stiffer springs.

What's the advantage of using the GKTech gearbox springs?

They make your gear stick move towards the center of the box (ie. neutral) faster and keep force on it to give you more feel of the shifter.

What modifications are required, is this hard to fit?

No modifications are required, simply just remove and refit.

Is there anything else needed for installation?

No, you can use your OEM hardware, in terms of the spring kit itself it will arrive as shown in the product photo.

Can I install this myself? If so how long will installation take?

Yes, provided you have general mechanical knowledge it is very straightforward. Installation should take around 20 minutes.

How do I install these springs?

Very easily, remove the 2 bolts on the gearbox under the shifter area (there's one on each side) and insert the new springs and do up the bolts.
